Courage, Chivalry and Faith are the themes of the second installment of the Chronicles of Narnia. Besides the gwapo points ni Ben Barnes as Prince Caspian, the lush green sceneries and not to mention the rocky beach of Narnia there are nuggets of wisdom you can learned from the movie. Scholars says most of works of C.S. Lewis have allusions to Christian ideas. For one, Prince Caspian has to fight for what is rightfully his and that is to fulfill his destiny as the ruler of Narnia. Christian teaching tells us not to let the dark forces steal the future that God has promised us. When Jesus died on the cross, what comes with the gift of salvation is the freedom from whatever that enslaves us. This truth can free us from doubts that we can enjoy a prosperous and successful lives. If we believe that we are destined to greatness then we can be. It is what we call faith. There was one scene when Lucy told her siblings that she saw Aslan at the other side of the ravines. Lucy believes that Aslan was guiding them to go further that route but the rest of the Pevensie children didn't believe her and so they took another route only to find out that Lucy was right when she thought that Aslan is guiding them earlier. Aslan asked Lucy later on why should it (her siblings unbelief) stop the little girl from pursuing him. The same thing sometimes happens to us, we are easily let down by people who doesn't believe in our calling. Easier said than done, but who would fulfill our destiny for us. I don't there would be anyone who can substitute you in this world. One's life would be meaningless if that would happen. Alas! this movie reminds me of things worth fighting in my own life and enjoy whatever life brings - like meeting my life's Prince Caspian for one!
